Heeeey QBN!
Im trying to find information on which seems to be the best method of producing cross platform apps.
I want to be sure im learning something worth while and not waste my time.I understand you take performance hits in running non native code, but thats to be expect and it's not a big issue for me.
I seem to see a lot of JavaScript based stuff which then deploys to the major platforms.
So, does anyone have any experience or know what is considered a good reliable process? What software? What language etc.
Hope you can help! :D

Also I've been aware of phonegap for some time as it seems to be very popular, but ive heard mix experiences about it.
Any advice or experience is appreciated.

There's also this: http://www.appcelerator.com/tita…
and this: http://www.sencha.com/products/t…I'm playing with phonegap ATM as well. Suggest you dive in an see what works for you. Evidently there's still a need to redesign on a platform by platform level to feel 'native' as each platform works a little differently. So you can't just write once and release everywhere - despite what they tell you.

I used Sencha Touch to develop Cashboard Mobile

A bit of a learning curve, but if you're any good at JS you can get it down pretty easily. I think the entire app took me about 2-3 months to make earlier this year.
I still need to clean it up a bit and package it for native - which is awhile overdue. Probably my next big project.
