Have been discussing the pros and cons of single page checkout. Seems like pros outweigh the cons as far as sale conversion goes.
What are the thoughts nowadays?
And any examples of really good simple checkout processes any would like to share?

I built this page a few years ago and it seems they've let their security certificate lapse but if you click past the warning, you can populate the checkout form with whatever info and see how the next area becomes visible as you continue throughout the form in a 1 page style.

I don't think you can argue this in abstract. One page is always better if it makes sense. But if the user ends scrolling down a really long page with dozens of fields, might as well separate it into multiple pages or sections, because that way you can save your progress.
It also depends on the type of thing they are buying. Some products and services lend themselves to instant purchasing while others don't.

There has been plenty of positive feedback with QBNer's that have used Big Cartel in the past as well...

Cons:
• errors or timeouts causing the user to have to re-enter lots of details.
• a lot to comprehend like shipping calculations etc.

Squarespace gets a big thumbs up from me. The first ecommerce I've worked with that wasn't underpowered or a pain in the ass.
