Like Steve Jobs once said...
"Adobe: They are lazy, Jobs says. They have all this potential to do interesting things but they just refuse to do it."

They even took source code from apps, it was big.

People are putting too much emphasis on the cloud here. Its irrelevant - its just a payed subscription and this attack could happen to any site/company that has registered users.
- yep, my adobe id is probably 10+ years old.kingsteven

It's shit like this that makes me miss the days of software on physical media, and makes me avoid the cloud like the plague.
- do you not buy anything online?fadein11

- Oh. No, that's a lie. I do buy plane tickets online. Otherwise, no.Continuity

What would stop a company from just "losing" everyone's data and handing off the details to some marketing company (or worse)? It seems they don't have any culpability at all.

Thanks Adobe.
I guess we just have to suck this security breach up.
It's not as if we can go use some other software suite seeing as you have such a f*cking monopoly going in our industries.

"The company has revealed that an intrusion led to an untold number of Adobe IDs and passwords falling into the hands of hackers. But it gets far worse. Adobe says "certain information" on 2.9 million customers may have also been compromised. Among that data set are customer names, encrypted credit / debit card numbers, and expiration dates."
