afternoon!
quick question for you "dev-heads" - can't seem to find too much info about this via google - so thought i would throw it this way.Is it possible to block access to a directory or more specifically a html doc that is online unless the user is within a certain radius of a set location. is that realistic? anyone point me in the right direction of where to start.
Sounds a slightly odd question - but it is for a virtual tour of a museum that at present doesn't have disability friendly access. the venue itself has access but the actual museum is on the first floor.
anyone? ;-)

You basically need to run the ip of the visitor through an ip location lookup tool like:
http://freegeoip.net/
http://www.ip2location.com/free/…There are plugins for Wordpress:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/iq-…and Drupal:
https://drupal.org/project/ip2co…- on a side note, I need to write an RFP for a virtual tour - you don't happen to have an example of one - *crosses figersspot13

...and one thing to keep in mind is that it is that an ip lookup is only as accurate as the isp / proxy server of the visitor so it's fairly easy to fake your location.
