I'm starting to see videos popping up on YouTube that say you should watch it in Original mode for full 4K video. I definitely notice a different switching between Original (in these instances) and 1080P but don't you need a monitor capable of showing 4K video for that to even make sense?
Gotta be honest, the videos I've seen like this definitely look better in Original than in 1080p, so what's going on exactly?

less noticeable compression from it having more pixels (even though it is downsizing) and a higher file size i'd say.

most computer screens have better resolution than the average tvs.
so while your tv might not even be able to handle 1080i your computer does.

They fucked up the player this week, now you need an extra click to expand it or change the quality.
