I did some more research into this Ballimer guy.
Turns out he was a total and utter cunt. I read an article on 'Rank scale' and how it basically reduced creativity within microsoft because it made people concentrate on short term survival against fellow workers rather than progression in the company and progressing projects.

To great fanfare, and millions lining up to hear the news, Microsoft appointed a new CEO, ushering yet another era of full on win. Hopefully he can live up to the greatness that was Ballmer and continue to demolish the competition.
