- It's already shown to be a waste of time and money. Money that would be better spent on job training programs.IRNlun6

it's not a War on Drugs. it's a War against People who use drugs.
this means the country in which i was born into, has declared a war against me. wait, what?

the fact that i take drugs here or there has given the government an excuse for another endless war. hmmmm go figure! the government create endless war? never heard of such a brilliant notion.
meanwhile they create the very industry they are going to war against and people like you and I sit in the jails and pay the price.
the government and all the corporations they work for are the criminals, not me! from a human rights concern, the government is illegitimate on all fronts when it comes to drug laws. drugs should not be criminalized, and doing so only makes the government out to be an ignorant, brute-force tyranny against the people that it is supposed to be protecting and working for.

The governments obsession with drugs is like religions obsession with sex. It's weird and not healthy.
Imagine all that money and power put towards education and mental health.

Great Band...
But drug testing welfare recipients is such a waste of time and money...
the seven states with existing programs — Arizona, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Utah — are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to ferret out very few drug users. The statistics show that applicants actually test positive at a lower rate than the drug use of the general population.

the war on drugs is not meant to be won, it's whole purpose is to perpetuate war around the world, and by default make the average citizen a potential enemy, thus giving more power to the state. the war on terrorism is the same idea, to create an endless war against a nameless enemy, and by doing so giving more power to the state and its control over the people. where we used to protect liberties such as 'freedom of search and seizure', well now the state gets do what it wants b/c it is 'at war'.. remember, in war, the state is under 'emergency' and can essentially do anything it wants.. its a trick against the people. you and i are not only victims of this evil trick, but are also enemies of the state in this insane world where the bad guys are obviously in charge
