Let's put you in a cage for 10 years for doing the right thing and see if "ok" describes your experience.
- lmao the right thing. buncha dopes on this siteCygnusZero4
- I doubt anyone here would complain if you left qbn to troll another website. <3cotton

he'll be out soon.

Cygnus, yeah he broke the law, but there are a lot of laws in place to protect the governments – not us. Maybe you're not part of a society which is sick of being lied to time and time again. Do we have a choice anymore, not really. Do you care, probably not.
- benfal990
it may be sad this 35 years in prison, but what he did was illegal... there's laws out there.
- ukit20
Sure he broke the law. Just like the military people who were caught on tape gunning down civilians and journalists in the video he leaked.
Also in the files that were released by Wikileaks, it showed that the U.S. committed torture as regular policy during the Iraq War, which is something that Bush and his advisers signed off on. That's illegal and considered a war crime under the Geneva Convention.
The funny part is nothing happened to any of these people, while Bradley Manning gets sent to prison for 35 years for leaking some documents.

35 years. can't imagine that anything Manning has done up til this point has been easy.
one of the best and kinder articles/journalism about her transitioning and her recent "news" http://america.aljazeera.com/art…
gonna get lost in some screenprinting-- the state of the world today is so much to think about. taking a news break for 1 month starting now!

nobody is going to stand up and say enough is enough??
anyone? where's the so called antiwar party? hope n change? piss n luv?poor guy,
he fucked his life up for showing the "most advanced army of the world" committing war crimes and he probably thought some people would stand up and say enough is enough!
now is going to jail for 35 years and the same people calling humans fucked up at anychance they get, are defending the war machine by saying what he did was illegal,
am I fuckn living in Bizarro World
- yep we are - noone gives a shit as long as they have a new iphone - fucked up world mate.fadein11
- seriously, Georges, people flipped out and said exactly that, unless you're purposefully ignoring it for troll effectmonospaced
- yeah yeah, everyone flipped out, people where rioting in the streets demanding he be released, do you even believe what you're saying?GeorgesIV
- what you're saying, no joke, did you forget the 8 years of bush, and the last 5 of obama, where's the american antiwar party, where, ??GeorgesIV

The murderer of 15 civilians [the pilot of that helicopter video] is walking around free [in name of protecting "freedom and democracy" of course], the guy who told the public about the murder, got 35 years. That's the law of this country [maybe the world]: you do what in power tell you to do (no matter how atrocious) you walk away free - you tell anyone about the shenanigans - we'll fuck you up.
- that pilot was taking ordersmonospaced
- and of course, I agree with youmonospaced
- mono, that didn't work at nuremberg you knowGeorgesIV
- I don't know how many times I have to say it, I agree with pr2 and i'm NOT defending the pilot or nurembourgmonospaced
- why say taking orders then? they were itching to kill peoplefadein11
- because the blame is on the people making the orders, as Manning was trying to saymonospaced
- and using your logic, every soldier is "itching" to kill, that's why they're theremonospaced
- but I don't want to fight, I'm NOT defending anyone, and I think Manning is a fucking heromonospaced
- fair play - stop trying to get a reaction thenfadein11
- I'm not, but I think some people are tryingmonospaced

This actually had a bigger impact in Iraq than than Apache video:
A leaked diplomatic cable provided evidence that during an incident in 2006, U.S. troops in Iraq executed at least 10 Iraqi civilians, including a woman in her 70s and a 5-month-old, then called in an airstrike to destroy the evidence.
The disclosure of this cable was later a significant factor in the Iraqi government’s refusal to grant U.S. troops immunity from prosecution beyond 2011, which led to U.S. troops withdrawing from the country.

"Significant strategic victory in Bradley Manning case."
PR for, 'Thank you for being our PR puppet, and letting us milk you for raising us raise funds. Actually, we're not really thankful, haha. Go on, and fuck off now. We'll see you in 30 years, maybe 11 if you cry."How ironic that like the war in Iraq, we're now supposed to believe that infringing on constitutional rights is "for our freedom".
The "breaking the law" argument that some people here are posing, is so one-dimensional, so anti-American, it makes me cringe how delusional neo-conservatives have become, who demand Bradley Manning's head.
I am not praising him to be a hero, because he was reckless. But his intentions were that of a patriot, and that has to count for something --especially in an age where it seems like less people are standing up for their rights in this country than ever before.

- I'm sure Manning had some idea of what he was getting himself into when he leaked the documents.nb
- It's not like wikileaks forced him to do anything.nb
- nb, sure, he probably had an idea, and he's paying the price. But the people putting him on trial should be imprisoned for life. I'm tired of conspirators who are making their living and careers off of taxpayers, and putting on this charade of a trial for public display saying, "look how we're serving justice for your benefit."twooh
- We should turning the prosecutors and the judge into a pariah.twooh
- I agree that it is completely unfair that he is going to jail. But I don't think Wikileaks did anything wrong.nb

Ted Cruz was born in Canada but still talks about running for President and Donald Trump doesn't care. Fox News and politics don't make sense a lot of times.
- he's a natural born citizen dude. when parents are citizens then you are automatically a citizen at birth, no matter where you are born.HijoDMaite

@ monobro,
I wrote a long reply trying to argue with you, going point by point about how the antiwar movement left B.M. to rot and be tortured for years and now will leave him for another 35 years until a republican president comes back in power, so they could turn back to be adamant antiwar protesters, marchers, rioters, then I realized once again that it's futile, so I cancelled it, because honestly I don't really care anymore, I'm tired, this century is tiring me,
I'll go play with my son instead- argue against what? I thought we were on the same pagemonospaced
