"But if Supes isn't governed by an innate morality, the cornerstone of this character, then the only reason he hasn't thrown every bad guy on the planet into orbit is because he doesn't really care to solve that problem. . . . He's a whiny, truculent, occasionally homicidal child, and if that's not a better representation of the United States and what it believes in, then I stand chastened with knuckles rapped.""BVS is an unerring pastiche of who we are at this moment in time: scared, angry, violent, disjointed, poisoned by hiraeth (Batman keeps a Joker-defiled batsuit in a Plexiglas display case like a mad hobbyist), driven by emotion rather than logic, by ideologies rather than reason. It's polarized, xenophobic, hyper-sexualized, hyper-desensitized, and, in the final analysis, more than a little psychotic. BVS is the inmates running the studio. And it's going to make a billion dollars."
The only review I read that credits the movie with any merit at all, though watching it is a joy only for cynical, masochistic, existentialists looking for heroes in a post-9/11 world where everyone is a criminal.

LOL. From the reviews:
"Dawn of Justice plays like a loose, unofficial quarter-billion-dollar remake of The Odd Couple, in which Oscar and Felix are literally trying to kill each other."

6.5/10
Not nearly as bad as advertised. I read a number of critics saying the storyline was hard to follow. I can see that if you don't read / watch all the other DC books / shows. They didn't really explain metahumans / how Sup isn't alone in terms of being as powerful as he is and therefor is appearing less Godlike etc.
If you know of the Justice League stories and have read all the crossover stories that DC has put out in the past then this film might actually hit home (still a little lacking though). I can see why Snyder keeps saying he made the film for the fans of the books... but that approach may leave the average viewer confused / annoyed as they're used to seeing Superman as a single 'super' entity on the planet that protects all humans. DC killed that 'superior god-like' aspect of Superman long ago in their books but never on screen (till now).
