Actually, he gave up with a Parisian place in the original UK Kitchen Nightmares. The bird who was running it was being completely irresponsible, and when she shut her place finally, she ended up being a prostitute in Paris. True story.

Economically Arizona is in bad shape. Majority of people living there are retired, filthy rich or working class. Not as bad as Michigan but it is bad there. 2 people wanting to take pictures isn't exactly a flash mob.
Financially I bet they were willing to try anything to get people/tourists to want to visit Arizona just for them.
There wasn't a reason to fix it up if you noticed it was nice so why not try plan-B.
- I call TROLLZ74LEO
- Phoenix is one massive great dried shit in some shitty underpants, draped inside an oven. Hell on earth.mikotondria3

Or what if they are secretly trying to recreate the buzz that happened around Dick's, the restaurant chain where the help were complete assholes to the customer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Di... Except by not acknowledging that they're purposely being dicks, they retain a bit of credibility (less theatre) that Dicks lost by admitting that they were drying to be mean.

I have a friend who is a "social media expert" or some such trying to be amazed at this increase in people following them.
Simple reason: people just want to be entertained, they want to see the final message from the restaurant that they are closing their doors. They're not "fans," they don't "Like" the restaurant, and majority of them have never been there and will never go there.
The "any press is good press" phenomenon does not apply here, therefore, there's no reason to revel in the increase of social media followers, because they're not people who really like or frequent the restaurant.
- right, i bet noone here thought the case was a growing FANbase.Krassy
- don't need to be a "social media expert" to figure out this case.Krassy
- Krongratulations, Krassy.detritus

Looked at the images on their website. As much as I love s'mores, this is just sadness.
- Anyone worth their pubic hair could call this thing from any angle - it's that obvious. Such hacks.brandon_phillip

I could be a publicity stunt by ramsey, I mean.. that episode is just too good to be true. everyone is talking about it. The restaurant was on its way down anyways, maybe the network offered them money to buy them out (trashing them in the process) in a few weeks they decide to close down, maybe open their doors again and do a 'reunion episode' this time, everything works out, the show gets watched by everyone and the new business venture is a success.
It's far fetched but these days, who knows...
