Wondering if anyone has framed photos on fine art paper without glass? My wife and I are about to get some prints from our travels to put above our couch. They will be on high quality fine art paper, but I don't want to us glass so that the paper texture is visible, and to avoid the glare we have from big windows.
Thinking about mounting the prints on foam, then just putting the frame around without glass. Anyone done this? Happy with the look?

textured paper with ink on it attracts dust like crazy. which is incredibly hard to clean.

Glass will help preserve your print against the light, against fading and dust. Oil paintings are good with glass as the varnish you use takes the place of the glass.
Saying this if you're just printing them out and they fade you can just print more so I say go for it.

or print them on canvas, that's probably the best solution

another option is to mount them on a floating block, edge-to-edge. Or you can have them mounted onto metal, or acrylic.

Prints won't be too much. Avg $23 each for 12x18 with http://www.americanframe.com/Ame…. We could go apeshit with this so luckily their prices seem good. Might be getting frames elsewhere.

There's a ton of great online sites like...
http://www.fractureme.com/produc…
Think I found that on theawesomer.com, do a search on that site... Seen direct printing to wood and metal, laser cut etching, etc. etc. A ton o' options that are reasonably cheap...
