ag what are you talking about? the last project i made in flash (2011) the fucking client wanted page turns (and every other horrible desktop metaphor) :)
there's a standard page curl UI transition (UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlUp... the only time I've ever seen it used is in the notes app when adding a new note. there's also a custom responsive version in the maps app for revealing the view options.
