you know everybody here will say 'get the apple' regardless of whether they've used, seen or read reviews of the LG.

29" for $699 with a resolution of 2560 x 1080I have their 27". I was skeptical at first, 7 years ago I had a 23" that was tinted pink no matter what, but this IPS display is beyond my expectations.

for $699 (I got it for $649 by asking them to match Amazon) with a resolution of 2560 x 1440.I went with the 27" because it had 33% more pixels for me to see.
my 2¢

might be worth waiting a bit for the new mac displays.

The LG ultrawide display up there looks cool in theory, but I'd prefer it with more pixels, personally. My 27" display natively runs 2560x1440 and I have also used a 27" running at 1080p; the difference is huge: more pixels on that size is necessary or else the pixels seems too big. Just my 2 cents.
