does anyone develop and sell custom themes? is it worth it? What are the pitfalls?

I develop plenty of custom themes, but they're 1-offs for my clients.
I don't develop any custom themes for resale. I think the biggest pitfall would be the constant updates and support. In order to keep sales up you'd need to be on top of all support questions/requests, and you'd need to release updates to the theme every few months as WordPress changes and newer best-practices come into standard.
It's something I've thought about, but just don't have the time or desire for.

Thats what a support line in India is for!

thanks guys. sometimes I think it would be easier to just handle questions/requests from theme buyers than dealing with the normal client crap.
I'm just debating on which direction I want to go. I guess theme development isn't in my future anyway as I only know html, css, and a little jquery to make it pretty.

I really like Basic Mathb y Khoi Vinh. Might be worth checking out the details of what they're offering, and see if thats what you'd like to do:
