I can't think of a single thing they've done in the last few years that wasn't preceded by a better product from a more focused team. This appears to be no different. Wunderlist, yo.

Evernote is the king on this department, and they won't go away next year because that's the whole business of the company. Google on the other hand, err, well they just don't give a fuck.

Why would it die out? It's just a basic personal mobile service.
I've been using it and like it. Prefer it to evernote. It's maybe not quite as involved but it's perfect for what I need it for. Looks great too.

I started to be wary of depending of Google services, I prefer to use paid services of smaller shops, but still doesn't guarantee it will last forever, see what happened with the email client for mac and ios Sparrow, got bought by Google and it won't get more releases.

I was using Wallet (a password manager for Mac) and the team got acquired by Facebook and the app was abandoned too, leaving 1Password with almost a monopoly, the other apps basically suck.
