now that's surprising.
Apple’s Big New Hire Sure Doesn’t Like Apple
Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch—that's the guy in charge of technology at a very powerful and important technology company—is jumping ship, reportedly for Apple. Which is odd, because he's said a lot of mean, frustrated things about Apple!

Haha. A funny thought just ran through my head.
Adobe is still bitter at the punch-up they had with Apple/Jobs over Flash, so now that Jobs is pushing up the daisies, they send their CTO in there to finally get Flash onto iOS.
- that's a conspiracy I want to believe inGeorgesII
- The thing is, now that I've re-read what I wrote, it doesn't actually look that crazyContinuity
- I don't think Flash will ever be on iOS. Even Adobe has given up on it, we'll have to strugle with html5-ish for a few years yet.chrisRG

While this guy was in charge in Adobe he couldn't manage to release a decent Flash plugin for Android, the thing got canned after years of trying.

- Apple killed Flash, why would you develop for half the market when it was successfully destroyed?formed
- Flash could have been the differentiator from iOS of Android, but they couldn't make it!ernexbcn
- Umm, Apple didn't kill Flash, they just didn't support it. Adobe killed it by not making it efficient.monospaced
- And iOS isn't half the market, desktops still run Flash just fine. What a sad excuse to blame another company.monospaced
- Apple did kill flash, no client would pay for a Flash site that didn't run on iOS, plain and simpleformed
- Also, iPhones are half the market, Android is the other half (more or less). The post is mentioning Android, not desktops.formed
- desktopsformed
- so, by your logic, clients killed flash because they didn't maintain a demand for itmonospaced
