False dichotomy; more sophisticated and more lazierer.
Those kind of places could never look like that when being used by humans-peoples, though. Where are the clothes, the shoes, someone's phone etc etc. Who would be doing what when they'd ever sit in that chair ? Chairs in bedrooms are only good for two things. Primarily as a place to put clothes that you've only worn once and don't want to wash or throw on the floor, OR for sex when you've got sick of doing it on the bed, or it's during the day etc etc, and that thing isn't suitable for either.- looks like a great place to sit and read, or take in a fabulous view.Amicus
- Well, which ?
Everything is EITHER / OR, don't forget...mikotondria3 - it could be sequential, or even loop... read, look, read, look, read, look, read, look. read. look. read, look, read, look, read, lookAmicus

"No TV.....clothes, shoes...."
Guys, what about the pillow? Have you ever tried sleeping with no pillows? Really uncomfortable.

Clutter is easy. Keeping counters, floors, etc., takes a lot of effort.
Sure looks nicer, though, and a hell of a lot easier to dust

In terms of architecture minimalism is probably harder to achieve as any blemishes or ill fitting pieces will stick out like a sore thumb.

Minimalism has become completely divorced from it's original context and social / political motivations. Now an aesthetic short hand for sophistication in corporate lobbies and generic hotels. Also provides people with a means of engaging in ostentatious consumerism / materialism without the guilt of visible "vulgar" consumption.
