- 27 ooops. sarcasm or do you agree?fadein11
- I agree completely, except that the cynical QBNer in me can't accept it, and suspects shenanigans.Continuity
- And the optimist in me desperately hopes this isn't the Swiss Bertt Bahs.Continuity

That first thumbnail has so many rollovers. How is that done?
- like porn websites. javascript that replaces the image every time the cursor moves 10 pixels on the imagemekk

And he still has time for Pinterest?
- BaskerviIle0
What makes him a genius?
He has a nice style, though hardly 100% original.
Lots or mock-ups/visuals, and yet more are posters for student shows etc. Posters are easy!
Often your student folio is your most creative. What makes a real genius is getting great work through in commercial jobs with real clients.Nice work indeed, but not necessarily worth the hyperbole
- nicest portfolio I've seen in ages and I suspect he chooses to work in music / arts fields as more creativefadein11
- Also my flatmate at uni was back teacing on our degree course at St Martins 1 year after graduating, it's quite normalBaskerviIle
- Just love his work to be honest.fadein11

what makes it genius?
it is nice and trendy for sure...
and is 27 that young?- genius was too strong. I haven't seen many 27 year olds producing such mature work.fadein11
- fadein110
Okay genius was an overstatement. Insert 'very good'.
- Nah, I like the 'mature work' thing. That's good.Continuity

Serious question: What do you think he'll be doing in 10 years? Surely he'll move on or up?
Usually takes people about 5 more years to get this much work.

I agree with Baskerville.
It's nice stuff. He has good style and lots of time on his hands.
Nothing genius about it though.

Very nice work but "genius" is going a bit far
- fadein110
Stop getting bogged down with the word genius and appreciate the work... jeez.

- post morning coffee - less grumpy and cynical now:
Adrian Frutiger was 29 when he designed Univers.
Maybe I'm getting old, but it seems so many achieve big things before they're 30. And there's lots of great design out there coming from younger people...maybe because the internet gives this generation more access to lots of high quality inspiration that the libraries we had at university just couldn't possibly stock.
In some ways I'm heartened by the future of our industry. In other ways, there's lots more plagiarism out there too. A downside to greater exposure to others' work I suppose.Either way it's always nice to see new work. Especially on here where design threads are rare these days.
I had lots of lovely feedback here back in the day (like 8 years ago!) which helped me progress in my career. So keep up the good work Felix, I say- resuming grumpy, cynicism in 3, 2, 1 -

Someone is happy in Switzerland now! Cheers to Luzern. And yes, I like your portfolio, too.
