a living playlist of all indie concerts coming to your city:
I posted this before, but recently started working on it again... looking for general feedback on the actual service and the functionality of the prototype.

it's chicago only right now while we nail down the functionality. in the mean time, it's still a good way to find touring bands. :)
we'll have the released lineup (and continue to add) for pitchfork 2013 by this time next week.

working on a better iphone app — only app I know of that plays YouTube audio on app background / phone lock.

looks like it could be good. What's the difference between this and something like http://www.songkick.com/ ?
The youtube thing is useful - see who's playing, check if they're shit. Not so good for new bands not on youtube?

songkick is for following band you already know of, and a lot of the bands on there are shit.
this is more for music discovery — sort of a dynamic play list that is filtered by city. you can sit and listen while you're doing something else.
every band we've wanted to cover so far have been on youtube.

just for fun:
streaming youtube video processed and filtered in real-time. will be an option to toggle on for all video / content.
