CS2 Premium is now free to download.
Now next time someone ask you for Photoshop, just point them to this link, no more sketchy cracked version

This is a pretty small gesture. CS2 is four versions old, about 8 years old and incompatible with more than 99% of the documents you'll be seeing. I wonder if current computers can even run software that old. I'm not sure if CS2 was developed for Intel based computers.

I have CS2 and it only stopped working when I upgraded to Lion, but it is most definitely made to work on an Intel Mac.
- thanks was wondering that,

It lets people create photoshop files what's not to like. A nice gesture indeed.

Good stuff.

No one's going to download it because they don't even sell older versions.

Now I just have to get a free computer that will run it.

"On behalf of Adobe Systems Incorporated ... You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!"

errrr??? Though it sounds like they ARE giving it away for free but you should only get it if you have a valid licence. Christ Adobe couldn't you just throw your horrible corporate culture out of the window for five minutes?

"You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!
What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don’t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available."

Well that's a shame, :( I thought it was a really magnanimous gesture by Adobe :( I thought wrong I guess.
It did seem a little too good to be true :(
