We worked over the holidays. My gift is always delivery, never missing a deadline and offering quality services.
There gift to me is promptly paying.
This strategy works out fairly well.

I worked over break and surprised them with early delivery... which only really means; "revisions start earlier"

"sweet topshit"
Is that when you do a shit on top of the toilet seat instead of actually in the bowl?

mug w/ logo, filled with custom printed M&M's, and holiday card. Easy and Cheesy, I know, but wish I had time to do more. That took only 2 hours to get done online :) and needed 100 of them. Folks seemed to love the M&M's (most people like chocolate). Think I'll prolly budget more next year (like iPad mini's with custom skins or something) but only send to the clients that use me a lot.

i like the idea of a stamp as a gift, but not sure the actual stamp message was so great.
i think i'd have made the stamp remnant something more useful for your clients, and then branded it with your company info on the top side. i.e.: perhaps some sort of office folder labeling for stamping files, etc...
but, if your clients were happy with it, that's important.

Christ, if I was your client, I would think I pay you too much if you can afford that stuff as gifts to all clients.

"stamps are not even branded with our studio"
Yes they are - the text finishes with your domain.
That's the bit I particularly dislike, personally.

Yes they care.
These were partly hand made by handicapped - brain damage trauma people from Center Korak - specially believe that giving work is far better than giving donation. Rest was done by local craftsmen, but it took as a few weeks to select wood and to make a retro looking stamp.
To answer the idea issues: have you ever given flowers to your girlfriend? The message is the same when you want to compliment your clients for past and future work. It is not important if they will use it...they will remember it. We went so far, that stamps are not even branded with our studio - the message is enough (also linked to my lecture a few months back). It goes beyond just a message on the stamp - it shows we are now moving towards good product design. The current response from our clients proved my thoughts.
- You started this topic. Don't be so defensive if we "don't get it".newuser
- Still think the copy is strange to give to the clients.newuser

An email telling them when I'll be back in the office after my holiday break.

A sack of oranges.

A stamp is an okay idea. But it should have been something they could use like a pretty image.

I agree with newuser. I think the stamp is a dumb fucking idea.
