Since facebook is already cannibalizing any goodwill they might have with their users, they should just go all out and sell a premium service where you can snoop through the pages of people who are not your friends, Guaranteed money maker. - employers, private investigators, jealous exes, pervy guys, and virtually all girls just because.

Left a couple of months back, haven't looked back, how nicer it is to participate in life rather than consume it. That said, if I could get off this now ...

The destruction of the business pages is a killer for me. I've only paid attention to FB for about 8 months, mostly to network with photogs and models. Now that they limit what people can see it completely eliminates the purpose of using it in the first place.
So, is FB going to die? Time to short the stock (since it has gone a run recently too)?
Maybe time to mosey over to G+...

I've had two reports of people missing out on vital information because people who weren't in some list weren't able to contact them directly in FB, instead getting dumped into some kind of cold storage folder in the inbox.
Not great for them, but a great indication of why the fuck it's not a great idea leaving your ability to communicate with the world in the hands of some fucking marketing-focused corporation.

It's hilarious that they present the $1 message thing as Joe Regular wanting to contact a speaker from an event (because famous speakers don't have email or known phone contacts), when in fact it'll be KFC and Sony and Pringles spamming your inbox with "like our page and get 5% off blah blah".
