Hey crew - is there a way to record web banners or possibly just grab them like you can a single image? The whole animated version....?
My CD is really into banners and is always trying to tell me how great this banner and that banner was.
Besides the excitement and pure joy his explanations give me, I'd much rather just have him pop over a link or something to see myself instead of using brain cells to imagine how the text "magically floated in" or the image "radically transitioned itself into an epic mini-movie that I was forced to click" or "man, that banner was compelling!".... etc ...
Yes... slow monday.

I'm pretty sure if you grab the .gif file and open it up in "preview" or PS it will show you the step by step animation...
- What if it's flash though?

Maybe try - http://www.moat.com/ then you don't have to try and save it, you can just search.
Hovering over the banner will usually show you if it had animation.
- many of the high-end ad units are crafted specifically for the pages in which they reside, best viewed that way imoprophetone
