Anybody recently bought a 13" MacBook Pro Retina, is it any good with CS6, lightroom etc...
Not sure whether to go with the 13" or 15" with the separate graphics card.

Do you wear glasses? if so, go 15"

NEVER go with the 13". Retina does not have any impact on the fact that you only have 13" of screen real estate to squeeze your palettes, etc. into. After making that mistake last year, I have vowed to never buy a 13" again—15" or bigger only.

on a 15" at the moment so yeah pretty silly to downgrade on the retinas display for the sake of afew hundred quid and no option of 16b of ram

13" retina here. More portable and lighter if you move around a lot, can plug into a bigger screen when at your desk. I'd NEVER go a 15". Different strokes for different folks.
As for performance - it's awesome. At least compared to my older machine. CS6 is going to be updated to retina soon, by the end of the year according to Adobe.

Lightroom is retina already. Amazing to edit photos.

and no spinning beach balls? what about indesign how's it?

cs6 all just runs exactly the same - so no epic retina stuff yet. It looks a little shitty, though you get used to, especially knowing that retina support is coming.
websites, documents, images and photography look incredible. CS6 is just kind of crap until they update their apps.
no beach balls. It's very very fast with the SSD and i7 chip. I've had the occasional finder-freeze when using a USB key, have yet to bother to see what's going on there.
