Going Google?
- GeorgesII0
I heard they are getting will.i.am
- vaxorcist0
wow... these little matters of taste ended the apple career of one of their main software architects?
i.e. don't try to be a designer if you're a developer(!)
Hopefully they don't throw out all that coding wisdom over this little tiff over fake leather(!) wow....

Yesterday, I was walking in the street minding my own business when this bum approches me
B: Hey guy, do you have some change to spare,
Me: I look him up in the eyes and told him: Scott Forstall just left apple and kept on walking.true story, his departure is truly affecting my life,

"Jony Ive becomes Apple’s chief of all Human Interface, could mean no more stitched leather in iOS"
- letterhead0
This is very interesting. Ive has cringed at some of the interfaces lately, specifically the stitched leather. This is probably going to lead to a gradual shift away from the apple skeumorphism that people love to hate. This is big news for nerds like us.

Jony taking over Human Interface is great news.

Go, Jony go!
- monkeyshine0
thank you, jesus. When I first saw the stitched leather I thought I was being punked. I just don't know how Ives or Jobs could have ever let some of that crap out the door.
- < this. It's a fucking screen not an Aston Martin dashboard. You're not fooling anyone.MrT

Did Forstall have anything to do with the Maps debacle?

Great news. Apple have been producing incredible industrial design, though embarrassing UI design... good to see Ive take the reigns of both. Maybe we'll go back to the cleaner days of Snow Leopard or something better.

There was stitched leather, off with his head!

I've been saying Apple is fucked.
Top people are starting to jump ship.
They need something new and fast or they're done.
- Nathan_Adams0
"Top people are starting to jump ship"? Only Forstall is leaving (I think we can ignore Browett), and reading between the lines it looks like he was pushed.
