UX vs. Graphic?

I see lots of people calling themselves UX designers now instead of graphic designers.
Do you think this would confuse potential clients? Do you think it makes their talent look limited?

I'm a UX Designer...and it frigs me off the amount of people that...
A: Think that UX design is a 'new concept'.
B: Think it's an easy practice to stuff on the resume to make them sound better.
C: Think that doing a 2 day HCI course makes them a UX pro.Back to the original question: No, it doesn't make their talent look limited because UX Design is a perfectly valid skill-set on its own; it's how it's application and value is communicated to the client and how UX best practice is applied to the project. If all the client get's is a pretty but ultimately unintuitive UI backed up with unusable Information Architecture, then there has been a failure in the understanding of what UX is.

Issues of UX designers is that they've primed themselves only on digital experiences. Yet the spectrum of user experiences span across many mediums. Turn off the power and screen, they're completely useless. Basically put, they cannot think outside the box.

Just finished up a way finding and patient flow project in a major North American Hospital. Not a box, and not a screen in sight thanks...

OP's post comes from agencies seeing the upward trend in UX needs and shifting around the names of their departments without any fucking clue that they are trying to sell something that they don't actually have on-staff
