Seems possible that someone with a key role in this got the brief and thought 'hmm Alphabet of Nations reminds me of that poster I saw The World in Words' and then yadda yadda yadda you got ripped. "Inspired" to be nice but only if someone seriously internalized your poster and only partially realized it. Lots of detail are the same.

To be fair it's not the best piece of work Pentagram have ever done.
You should clearly be focussing your rage at The Global Fund for Children. They're the ones profiting from your creativity rape.

Guys, I know how to google, so all of the examples I have seen before.
Believe me, when I started in middle 2008 I did massive research if there was anything similar. Not because I thought I had reinvented the wheel, but to be sure not to spend so much time on a thing somebody else did already before.
During that time there where only these things around:
Paula Scheers Maps:Three or four motives of Orkposters: http://www.orkposters.com/
And this one:
If you do some research you will see, all the other came later on.
If you google "Typomaps" you will see, that, when I published it, it massively went through the internet and print publications. But that's all not the point. It's not about ripping or getting ripped in general. I was just astound, that one of the worlds leading design agencies copies in such an obvious way. I mean, I'm only a one man show – they have millions of employees ;-). There must be so much creativity around that place, that they do not need to copy something.
I'm off for weekend now. Have a nice one.
- you had to do research to see if "there was anything similar" ? This is a very common approach to maps, and has been for at least three years.wordssssss
