TBH I much prefer a high-fidelity streaming experience - HD video, dolby surround, etc. and am usually more than happy to pay for it, versus some crappy torrented file. Granted, not all torrents are hand-cam bootlegs but I still can't bring myself to submit to a second-rate experience just because I can't wait a little longer to watch something with incomparable fidelity.
An in all honesty film & cinema providers have largely been making big strides to provide customers with access to the content they want at a reasonable price (ie: $4 for an HD rental of a newer movie released to DVD).
Now certain cable-television networks on the other hand are way behind the times... *cough* HBO *cough*

I received few times "Notice of Copyright Infringement" from my internet provider. :)
Now I use VPN from www.torguard.net, nice speed.- Really? I haven't had any issues from my internet provider, but I want to keep i that way. What packaged did you get? Are there any good free ones?cizo
