Once you get all the digital pics, then make a nice wedding album in iPhoto and get them printed and shipped to relatives. Costs around $50 per and make a killer coffee table book.

stoplying,
Definitely planning to do that. I've got a ton of travel photos from the past couple years that I'm planning on making a few books from. Just need to make the time.

Yes, among many wedding photographers, this is a somewhat standard business practice, BUT the wedding photographer should have been VERY, VERY UP-FRONT ABOUT THIS, telling you that yes, every picture has a print price... and you can see how to order pictures on his website at www.photographers-website.com/pr…... or similar....
NOTE that many wedding photographers may appear to make $$ hand - over - fist, but the amount of time spent on "tire kickers", post-production, pre-production, bridezillas, wedding planners calling them 20 times a day,etc is what this $$ compensates the photographer for...
This business practice theoretically is based on a lower price to shoot the wedding, but a charge per print so that the photographer is compensated based on how many prints people buy, hence the better the photos are, the more prints are bought, the more money he makes... i.e. meritocracy rather than just "here's the DVD of files"
Note that many people just want the "here's the DVD of files" because they want to pay a flat fee and be done with it and have control of the output.
I am very selective and only shoot a few weddings per year.... it's an interesting business....
