Yes but they also believe Jesus visited the Native Americans
- That story is based on native Native American stories when a man showed up to teach peace at a time of war. He shares similar characteristicsyurimon
- similar characteristics to jesus so thus that story was born.yurimon
- Although he had red hair.mikotondria3

You're all fucking idiots. Pregnancy term is always calculated this way... always two weeks before conception. Its got nothing to do with erroneous law-making, its the benchmark means of working out when a birth is likely due. Look it up...

Horp is right.

I think the point is (from original article)
“The law defines pregnancy in a way that bans abortion two weeks before the other seven states who have similar laws."
So it is different from other laws, but then again only a two weeks difference.

"Since it's not always possible to determine the exact date of conception, most due date calculators, such as this one, are based on a gestational period of 40 weeks from the first day of a woman's last menstrual period (LMP). This assumes a woman ovulates and conceives exactly two weeks after the first day of her LMP and carries the baby for 38 weeks. The problem is, of course, that this is an estimate, and 40 weeks is only an average term of pregnancy."

Horp is right.. having just gone through my wife's pregnancy they always calculate a pregnancy from the last menstruation, not the date of conception since that's a very hard date to determine. That being said if they were adjusting the begin date for accuracy's sake then they should still make sure that the window is correct on the end date.
I live in AZ. We're up in in a granola university mountain town and we love it here. In a way I like the spirit of the state and some of the laws are okay, some of them are also bat shit crazy. I just wish republicans were more for protecting personal liberties than social conservatism. It's actually a really amazing state, there is a lot more to it than most people think. I always thought it was a desert wasteland, and some of it is, but there are some really great things about it too.
- Have republicans ever been about personal liberty?aaux
- Yes, actually. That's how the R's got the stereotype of being for small gov. Not the case anymore.mathinc
- Yeh, it's lovely up north, just stay out of the valley and away from the Sherriff.mikotondria3
- haha exactly. I live up in Flagstaff and it's amazing up here.mathinc
- Talk about things to do, Flagstaff is nice but culturally lacking. Lets face it, Phoenix has more going for it.studderine

making a law from an assumed guesstimate in order to satisfy your own ideology is a serious pile of cock.
this is the problem when stupid ideologues get a sniff of power.
- sea_sea0
well one thing is for sure... YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!
WTF is really up with politicians these days?! Making up laws like this is really unfukenbelievable. what an idiot this Jan Brewer is, please tell me it's the heat. uugh.

"making a law from an assumed guesstimate in order to satisfy your own ideology is a serious pile of cock."
Actually 'date of conception' is a bigger guesstimate than 'date of last menstruation.' This would be the correct and more accurate way to do it. Whether it's politically motivated is a different story.

The reality is, many believe (for moral reasons) that abortions should not be legal. We may be heading back to a system where it is legal or not legal on a state by state basis.
