lol @alubums you are way off base. What, you trying to take my persona from the politics thread and ruffle some feathers here in the Lance thread? Well, good on you, you've done a terrific job. YOu learn well. ;P

I didn't care about Lance Armstrong when he was on his rise to fame, and I don't care about his lies or confessions. Nor did I care about his competitive bike riding. Why am I in this thread?

"Lance is simply a martyr for a generation of athletes who wanted to perform like gods."
Are you on crack? Do you know the full story? He is a sociopathic a$$hole.
"There were teammates who's lives were ruined when they told the truth and he used his power and reputation to force them to settle out of court when they couldn't afford better lawyers or continued legal fees. They lost their spot on the team, and credibility in the sport, their livelihood. He forced Trek to drop endorsements of other cyclists based on false claims. Nope. No one has been hurt."
- How old are you? Do you follow cycling? How much context do you have NOT from others?ideaist
- I'm speaking in regards to the prima donna in question; not his team, friends or family...ideaist
- Old enough to be your father. Yes I do, and it's well known the dude is a prick.severian
- Lance had no shortage of confidence; it seems he lacked humility leading to his downfall...ideaist
- If you're 60 (the age of my father) you must be a Catholic priest to be hanging out on QBN... ; )ideaist

Lance is an athlete and a competitor.
His positives (& negatives) are multiplied exponentially by the public eye.
People love heroes; worshipping false idols.
Their heroes are more often than not revealed as mortal through a revealing of character flaws either mental or physical.
Lance is simply a martyr for a generation of athletes who wanted to perform like gods.

- martyr?... cheater doesn't equate to martyr... what about all those who don't cheat? Are they just morons?PonyBoy

Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot partners JJ Abrams and Bryan Burk are going to make a movie about the epic rise and fall of doping bicyclist Lance Armstrong. They’ve just closed a deal for screen rights to Cycle Of Lies: The Fall Of Lance Armstrong..

I'll say it again.

^You find me a team that won 7 Superbowls straight and I might accept your statement as intellectually honest...

i wonder if a doping football team or baseball team ever defeated a team who wasn't doped up?
I demand an inquiry into all sports immediately to find the truth!!!

Oh, ffs... it's entertainment industry, who cares? It's getting overblown, like with Milli Vanilli. Do you think Madonna or Michael Jackson wrote all songs they signed as theirs?
Next predicted outrage: someone finds out Mark Hamill has both hands.
- PonyBoy0
wtf?
oh... ahahah... I mentioned BB:
alright, albums... I'll bite...
"Lol, poor guy got his vagina hurt by a lie." (directed at me for some reason)He committed multiple acts of fraud (against his sponsors (USPA-Nike-ETC-ETC), against the various race committees AND THEIR COUNTRIES... lied under oath...)
... He's an utter fraud... everything he 'appeared' to stand for is utter bullshit... ... fuck his foundation and fuck him.
If you think the Armstrong Foundation (and whatever other 'good' things you think he did)... in my mind that's all pure shit.
People were 'motivated'... 'moved' & 'inspired' all based on UTTER RUBBISH.
Albums - you like liars I guess? I mean.. as long as they're motivating and positive... who cares about their actions, conduct and words... right?
He is the B r e t t B a s h of the Cycling World... everything he took credit for is bullshit. He 'stole' from his fellow competitors — all those races belong to someone else.

is there a reason I can't post now?

this hurt no one. victimless. but it did help a lot of people. so it's a net win for his efforts imo.
- well except those lawsuits but you get what you deserve when you invite a lawyer to the tablealbums
- the guy ruined peoples lives and sued for calling him a cheat. He hurt plenty.severian
- @albums.
I think you need to dig a little deeper into his history before you make claims like that.ETM - Hes also about to lose millions. Companies coming at him left and right.severian

"So many people were moved, motivated, and inspired by this guy, You're all just jumping on the hate bandwagon... only after his fall."
The man point-blanke lied and cheated for years... I think the hate's justified and far from a bandwagon scenario...
Fuck you, Lance.. You cheated and lied... ... I really don't give a fuck if he had 'the ball' to man-up and tell the truth...
... what an asshole. (Lance)

I would like to punch Lance Armstrong in the face. and then the testicle.
I would like to see him sent to a Nike slave labour factory to work off all of his debt making cheap shoes. Perhaps repaying his sponsors but better yet all money to cancer.
I would like to have a wrist band with his name and face on it saying something to the effect of "Cheaters Never Win". The money from that would go to a cancer research foundation of another name in the name of Lance Armstrong's apology
Lance, you're whats wrong with the world. Go fuck yourself
And the
