Is 110 lb paper stock a little light for business cards?
What is a nice weight that isn't unusually thick?

depends on the paper. some 90lb stock has as much rigidity as 120lb in another stock. ask to see a sample.

just do 120. you won't regret it. trust me.

100lb cover is kind of the most common weight.
It feels too flimsy to me. I tend to prefer 110-130 as the lightest for the cards I do, although I did not too long ago a run with 100lb cover that looked like what interstellar subway passes would look like and felt pretty good.
I like 130DTC or heavier whenever possible. My previous cards were around 220 DTC. Solid enough to break a toe if dropped. The new ones will be cotton 110lb cover, lil flimsy but great feel.

@MrT and @mantrakid - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pap… and personally I'm going with these: http://www.professorprint.com/sh… - just in case I need to ninja my way out of a business meeting. =)

We just got 570gsm Colourplan cards. Chunky but fun.
- Which works out to 28pt. Took me ages to get my head around US paper weights! Bonkers.Centigrade
