... just take lessons with a spot w/ the least icons on their car. yelp.com might help.

When I read the thread title, I thought there was as school specifically for driving in NYC. LIke something out of Escape from NY. John Carpenter's School of Driving with Snake Pliskin as your instructor.

Have to agree with previous post, they're really shitty. I went to a "Driving School" in Wburg which shared office with a dental clinic needless to say the quality wasn't great. Three month later the instructor still haven't manage to find an available appointment for a road test at DMV.
