amazing documentary. look up Beyond The Speed Of Sound for the same film, but with extra commentary between clips. It breaks the flow of the film so I'd only recommend after viewing the original cut.
Prost gives a lot more insight into their relationship, as does Ron Dennis, and a few other notable figures from that era.
on a side note, i still like the aesthetics of the cars of that era compared to today's.

Why call it a perfect documentary?
Serious question because i liked it but still only gave it 3 out of 5.- IMO they were already doing a doc on him when he died. So the doc is basically completing this project. his burial the end.robotron3k

I finally got around to watching the British documentary 'Senna', which just arrived on Netflix instant. The film, about Brazil's legendary Formula One racing driver, Ayton Senna, was shot solely using archival footage and home videos from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Drama and suspense are built by allowing us to ride along in helmet cams and helicopter footage on location. It's an emotional look at a man's fierce competitiveness and love of the sport. His dedication to Brazil and overall benign disposition made him an icon to his people. You don't need to be a racing fan to enjoy it; everyone will walk away with a valuable lesson in character.
- The helicopter shots and the music.... I usually don't like documentaries but this was great.clearThoughts

It's a great documentary. If you liked that one watch Closer to the Edge which is a documentary about the 2010 Isle of Man TT race.
