What are your top annoyances, complaints, etc?
Currently looking at concepts someone did to "push the envelope" and "be daring" in which doing so was accomplished through vertical text on the navigation. SO WRONG.

- as crazy as it sounds I've met so many people who can only think/"design" homepages...
OSFA - Most major grievance at work currently, and has been for the past few years. GOD.Jacque

top annoyance... print designers who do stuff in Illy or Indesign and expect it to look "exactly the same" and keep repeating "I want it pixel perfect" when it's not likely to happen ever no matter how much you tweek due to differing text lengths and browser oddities..

The left-side floating social networking share tool that's popular as all hell right now, and covers up content on non-mobile optimized sites when viewing on a mobile device. That little thing is super annoying and covers up text when trying to read.
I've seen it do the same thing on websites on a computer when the browser is somewhat minimized.
- Destroys branding, annoying, and sucks the life out of site conversions and stats.brandon_phillip

" I NEED EVERYTHING ABOVE THE FOLD. THE WHOLE SITE "
- still i can't see it on my 11.5 inch IBM laptop. please fix.robotron3k
- I always like this one, because then I show them what the site looks like on 1920x1200 monitor.brandon_phillip
- Fucking massive empty space, beyond the requisite negative space, makes the site look ghastly.brandon_phillip

I need it to look the same on all devices!!!!!!

Assuming a web site works the same as a print brochure.
Using 8 different fonts on one page.
Font size: 12.68px with 22.35px line height
...
the list is endless- decimal font sizes RULEdoesnotexist
- I think we've worked at the same place!OSFA
- OSFA0
Exactly!!!
Right now I have a project with about 10 different fonts, sizes, colors, styles, 4 badges in one single page, and no idea how the site would work/interact beyond the big photos on the home page. Not really lazy as it has every element you can think of, (times three) but simply, BAD, IGNORANT "design". Sorry for the rant... carry on
- vaxorcist0
a HUGE percent are due to.... print designers trying web... and not getting the web.. @doesnotexist
top annoyance: not knowing how websites work.- yes, print people trying to do web. web IS actually a complicated thing.doesnotexist

most probably you mean bad designers and not print designers, because using 10 or 8 different fonts in a design means they don't get how typography works.
(in defense of print design)- RE: fonts... yesvaxorcist

We used to have a flash portfolio rotated 90 degrees.
The site was horribly annoying to anyone, but the trick was going to a meeting, opening the MBP like a book and show the site in portrait-aspect format. I think I still have it backed up somewhere...flash, the good old days : P
