Somehow I stumbled on this guy's website:
http://www.zacharyrichter.com/Pr…
Just curious, how he can claim any credit on this project? It's clearly all HunterGatherer's work.

- Do you have a link to HunterGatherer's work so we can see?monospaced

HunterGatherer, on their site, straight up says they worked with Saatchi and Saatchi LA to launch this campaign. Mystery solved. No all caps necessary. Move along people.

He is crediting HunterGatherer though, right?
And on their site
http://huntergatherer.net/projec…Maybe they just outsourced it to him?
Funny how at HunterGatherer it says they teamed up with Saatchi & Saatchi... so you could say HunterGatherer is putting this on their site when it is clearly S&S's work...
The never ending chain of outsourced work...

I didn't think he was stealing the work. The guy says he works for Saatchi, but I was just wondering why he would put it as the #1 thing on his website, and if he did anything besides commission them.
It looks like everything creative was done on HG's side.

Is this what art directors at Saatchi do, just pick creative people to do the work for them? Maybe write copy (or hire copywriters)? and then claim they were involved and get paid a lot of money.
- Basically, yes.Morning_star
- Yeah, that is basically what Creative Directors do. Other than snort cocaine and drink whiskyclearThoughts

'... we teamed up with Hunter Gatherer to create a
stop motion animation and jingle that poses the question, 'what is the plural of prius?' 'How is this taking credit for someone else's work?
- damn you and your logic!ian
- He didn't do anything! It's a portfolio site, not an agency's.********

This is just how things work. Collaboration and fair credit. No entity has all the answers/skills....

If in doubt, start a thread.

I didn't mean to ruffle feathers. In retrospect, it seems pretty normal. Just part of the guy's job. Maybe he feels more creative by claiming he played a role.
- based on this statement, anyone can conclude you're either a liar or a dumb ass, which do you prefer?albums

This can be the end of the thread.

"If in doubt, start a thread."
I guess it never crossed anyone's mind to simply ASK the individual in question what role he played in the project? God forbid he be allowed to defend himself or clear up any confusion. Not everyone is a complete br3tt-b45hing scumbag and to pass judgement on him because you're reading into the entire thing too fucking much is just sad.
Instead, lets start a thread...
