If you've ever seen his TV Show 'Sports Jobs' - he seemed like a very positive and energetic role model.. a really good guy! This news is a shocker to me :(

Shot self in chest?

He had actually had a lot of personal problems, but was never the type of person to show it. He was like that on the field. Never wanted teammates to see him injured.
That Giants Superbowl loss really hurt him. That was his last chance to put the bow on his career and he was so close. After that he had a handful of failed businesses, his wife left him a couple years ago, and he even tried to kill himself around that time by driving his car off a cliff.
A lot of these guys have trouble transitioning from being in the spotlight on top of the world to just being regular people. Some of them that had great success in the NFL really struggle with life after it. I guess it's the same for maybe a rock band who had their 15 minutes then everyone forgets about them. Some people just can't deal with that. He definitely experienced that feeling of his life being meaningless, which is a shame, he was rich, had 3 kids and really was a lot better off than a lot of people in this world, but not mentally apparently.

So sad. He was always known as the nicest guy on the team. I wrote him fan mail when I was a kid and he sent back and autographed card. Met him a couple times a local events too.

The good thing is, he didn't have any children or family that would be all kinds of fked up by him doing this.
