Shallow Grave is a great place to drink, always money flying about, but watch yourself.

Was at the Kelvingrove Museum & Gallery last weekend.
First time i've been, even though I lived n worked in Glasgow for nearly 2 years after i'd graduated years ago.
Worth a wander, an eclectic collection. Stunning building.

Merchant city has some good boozers too, I think thats what its called... havent been there properly in about 7 years.

The State Bar has good ales and a comedy/blues bar downstairs. We stayed upstairs and had a couple of hours free entertainment listening to the locals

Where's good for getting photos of people, street or otherwise - clubs maybe?

Given you'll likely be mincing around Trongate, I heartily recommend 'The Spirit' on London Road. It's an odd wee place, but they love visitors from south of the border regailing them with tales of derring do and favourable assessments of English culture and affability.
Be sure to try their Cinzano cocktail.
- ha, do I detect a plot!craigatkinson
- I quite literally have no idea what you're hinting at.detritus
- ha, I did a little research, sounds delightfulcraigatkinson

Great Western Road / Bryres Road for the chilled West End Vibe
Coffee shops and wee bars.
Will be decent for people pics too.
Ashton Lane off Byres Road for bars and restaurants.Get some great photos of glaswegian characters right in the city centre - Buchanan / Sauchiehall Street / St Enoch Centre
If you've hired a car then take a drive out to the not-so-nice areas of glasgow for some gritty shots.
Keep your hands tightly on your camera though if you 've got a goodun' lol
- yeah watch yourself if you go to govan. I was glad to be on a bike as some of the locals didn't seem awfully keen with having their pictures tookhansglib

There's the Barras Market over the weekend (but be careful taking photos)
On Glasgow green there's the inflatable stonehenge, which I'm going to check out on Saturday as well as other things for the festival of visual arts.
The new Transport museum by Zaha Hadid is worth a view
- also check Grand Ole Opry - for a different clubGhostschool
- you should come to the bookfair GIABcraigatkinson

It's old firm weekend, so things might get a bit crazy on Sunday, but their are lots of things on at the moment: http://www.glasgowinternational.…
There's some good chilled out bars on Bath St, Bunker or Bloc. Everything's in here: http://www.list.co.uk/places/pub…

Go out this afternoon and buy 1 celtic top and 1 rangers top.
Sew them at the arm cuffs and neck hole so that you can easily turn the whole thing inside out in a split second and wear this when you are in Glasgow. That way you'll never get into any bother. If you see some Rangers fans, turn it inside out to the Rangers top. If you see Celtic fans then turn it the other way out.
- Sorted!
BTW, there's no other options!
In glasgow it's either Rangers or Celtic. The weegies don't understand anything else, and gold help you if you say "I don't even like football".

I hate football

If you're in the mood for a good swally, I'd suggest starting at the Finnieston area, on Argyle Street, the place to be out now in Glasgow, a great pub crawl to be had along this street.
Start at Lebowskis, they do a really good burger and amazing white russians. Head towards the west end along Argyle Street and go into the The Ivy (a rum bar) and then The 78 (hipster place).
After a few, I suggest moving to the more traditional pubs along the street, The Ben Nevis is a great wee pub. The Park Bar's next, teuchter pub with live Céilidh band and always rammed! Then it's the IIslay Inn, and Firebird after that. Walk along towards the Kelvingrove Art Galleries, and opposite that you have Brewdog, great beers here! Stumble along to Partick and head into The Three Judges, a proper Glasgow pub, always busy on a Saturday, great traditional ales.
If you're still standing after that, head up Byres Road and into Oran Mor, a massive pub that's open till about half three in the morning.
Enjoy!

I only have 1 recommendation...
"Great Western Road / Bryres Road for the chilled West End Vibe" - there is a Whiskey bar called Oram Mor, if you like whiskey, go there. It's some old/small castle place on the corner. Awesome selection... older crowd it seemed, but great place to relax and try and bunch of different styles.

- why would you want to drink whiskey in scotland?wordssssss
