What's the word on this? It's meant to replace Flash but uses HTML5 or something?
Anything known about when it might be coming out?

Probably BLOATED code.

watched a video.... probably good for banner ads and things that impress people in a meeting with a video projector, but may have uses like for lawyers accident reconstruction animation,etc....
It looks more like lightroom and/or recent versions of AE, it seems to generate javascript code, and supposedly take care of browser oddities...
seems like it's solving the problems of 2008.... it could be interesting, but it seems like many users have grown tired of animated crap and just want simplicity and elegance....

Seems very very limited from what I could tell.
Your better off just writing your own code.

It's not that people are tired of animation, it's that Jobs left us with such poor tools for animation that it's become too prohibitive. It's not developers that animate, but designers. Try telling designers not to use a GUI with whatever fonts you want, with a timeline, without worrying about browser issues, etc. Is it any surprise you don't have as much lively motion on websites any more?

- Jobs didn't do this, dude. Adobe left you with shitty tools for animation, actually.monospaced
- It wasn't exactly After Effects, but at least Adobe gave me a timeline, movie clips and code that was user-friendly enough for a lot of designers.CyBrainX

Look interesting.

"lively motion on websites"
Who wants this shit other than wanker designers?
And this is coming from a designer, no one actually wants to use that crap.

Who remembers this?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ado…- I do. I saw an Adobe tech give a demo on it. It had the stench of immediate failure.CyBrainX

I get the feeling that Adobe has some huge code libraries that the suits are screaming at them to monetize, so they keep having to come up with stuff...
