personally I'm not knocking them as they are just being young and silly but as per the second post:

I think this is entirely true... I was just as silly and in high school scripted and filmed many a gory horror sci-fi "film" with friends. making blood sqibs, running around the neighbourhood screaming with chainsaws, severed heads and blank guns... the difference is we were lucky never to have the ability to post these things to share with millions... forever. thank god.

i have an almost six year old and i gotta say i will be keeping a close eye on his shenanigans for the next 20 years to ensure he doesn't fall into this trap.
however, i'm afraid that these things are so easy now and so instant that no matter how hard i try there'll simply be no avoiding it...

I will keep my kids away from any production crap. Let them play sports and games and camping, etc. Teach them to draw and collect insects...

growing up in AZ we used to use high powered BB and pellet guns as paintball guns on each other (pre-paintball-airsoft days)
MOST of the time we would use goggles, talk about fucking dumb, but yet for some strange reason or maybe its because I'm still dumb as fuck, I am strangely proud of that.

about a decade ago I went back there to visit from SF where we went to the desert and began shooting each other with 22cal snakeshot

kids now have access to media some of us could only dream of. good for them, next thing you know, they'll be making film. i say do it kids!
and what a bunch of haters on yt. hopefully these kids get motivated to do bigger, better things and not get bullied into insecure darkness. blah.
