Is this really useful, it will kill sites like FFFound? do you know good examples of how to get the best of it? ;)

97% of visitors of Pinterest are women, the remainder are 3% others.

seems like a fad that i'm not going to waste any energy in. granted, its nice people consolidate their image collecting blogs into one site, but i don't care about anyone's pinterest.

there was an interesting article though on how they make money.

i must fall into that 3%.. sure its full of women, but at the same time its full of women with keen eye for design, architecture, photography, installation art..
its endless eye candy of cool projects.

full of women with money or decision power to do business? if yes, I´m in.
why the discussion goes around genre or sexual preferences?
I´m interested in the tool and the possibilities that this social network could offer.... any opinion outside the box?

So far it is superb. It is what all the other sites, like FFFound lack (personally, I boycotted the site ages ago because of their lack of opening it, so yeah, I think it'll die).
I mostly use it for photography now, design and architecture soon.

All of these sites will start to have more and more suspicious activities as they compete to capture revenue. Once they become a public company, the bottom line is all that matters. More ads the better.
I am still waiting for FB to really screw something up. Their "only reach 10% of your Likes" is crazy, imho, and has to undercut a ton of small businesses that built the following because it was free. If my business were reliant on that marketing I'd be pretty pissed.
- I can't see people sticking around on Facebook if ads get any more intrusive than they already are.monospaced
