Does anyone know what those old personal foiling machines were called? We had one at uni but I know it was pretty ancient then. You feed in a photocopy plus a sheet of foil and the heat rollers fuse the foil onto the photocopier toner somehow.
Great for mockups. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

you have industrial printers that carry on using the same system.
on the cheap side you can buy transfer paper, print it and transfer it over with an iron.but I recall using the ones you said. pretty cool at that time!

Yes, Omnicrom! That's the one. Thanks.
Takes me back to college days of instant grunge effects on photocopiers. Some chump actually tried to run sandpaper through the photocopier. It didn't go well - don't try it. At least it's one useful thing I learned at college.

When I was a nipper and used to f*ck around at my dad's studio the photocopier and the omnicrom machine offered endless hours of fun :)
