I want to make this table [the one with the list in it] fixed column width, so for example the date width will be narrower than the title column.I'm using indexhibit. I have tried

background-color:#FFFFFF;
border: solid #000 0px;
width: 700px !important;
}for the whole table but with no result, it always has a with of 100+%

Your P tags all have a width of 400px.

The problem is that the content within the table have widths set on them which add up to greater than 700px
#content p {
width: 400px;
}If you have a large screen you can see the width of the table isn't 100% it's 1610 px wide.
