you can go see the mansions in newport rhode island.. you can goto atlantic city.. you can goto philly.. go upto vermont.. find a nice secluded cabin.. goto the poconos.. go out to montauk.. ocean grove nj near asbury park its a very fun tiny small town.. where all the homes are painted in Candyland colours.. its a real visual trip.. plus its on the beach.. go find a small town in New Hampshire and see all the vintage shops.. or fuck it all and goto VEGAS!!!

Get a hotel in the city where you would not normally stay.

I'll check on Montreal - that could be good. I want places that're better in the Winter - log cabin idea sounds like a winner.
- For that old school romance vibe, there are direct trains from Penn Station to downtown Montreal. I think they take about 6 hours.colossalhead

log cabin does sound badass
- Also sounds expensive during winter. Better in winter = $$$2002

- I found a sweet one in the poconos, it was like $600/night.CygnusZero4

Tasty - that Lake Desolation place - you happen to know if all the cabins are near one another? Now thinking that'd be great for a big NYE group
