DO NOT buy these. Buy AKG, Sennheiser or Beyerdynamic. Even without listening to those, I can tell their shit. The companies I mentioned are top notch.
- < Truth. Only I'd skip Senn and Beyer. AKG is used by all the real producers in-studio...and the POPE.luckyorphan

This thread is what's wrong with consumers (not corporations), not the highway robbery of branded over marketed shit, but the willingness to swallow that $300 pill because it gives some false sense of happiness without doing what it's sole intention is at 100%.
You can keep hating the 1%, but it's really dumb to pay them then hate them. QBN hypocrisy, Fuck yeah.
- holy assumptions galoreprophetone
- there no assumption is calling a consumer of those things a fool. see Occupy Wall St thread for other side of storyidiots
- "fuck corporations" followed by "I know they suck but they're cool" followed by purchase & repeatidiots
- and what did you post this hypothesis with? an abacus? please. i hate consumerism too snowflake.prophetone

c'mon, the reason Apple purchased Beats was not for the stupid headphones or speakers.
2014/2015 will be the broadening of the music streaming industry. Less looped trite playlists from Pandora. More unlimited, on-demand full libraries, curated playlists, etc. No more buying of tracks. Iovine and Dre will likely help in courting the record labels.
Google's Songza. Amazon Prime Music. Apple iTunes/Beats Music.

Recommend others but if he still wants them get him the ones he wants. It's his money.
Let him learn the quality lesson on his own.

I always use this review megathread for headphones reference: http://www.head-fi.org/t/433318/…

fuckin LOL
I just went down the street to the Mac store and they had two sets of the 'studio' beats by Dre headphones on display. I picked one up to listen and it did not work, I asked one of the kids what was up and he said he didn't know, that someone had maybe pulled on the wires (as he started to fumble with the chords)
So I go to the next display and as soon as I pick these up the right speaker is broken and hanging limp. I put them on and started to scroll through the music options on the store's iPod touch, finally I find Lauryn Hill and press play. Only the left speaker worked! hahaha I just laughed. I did pick up the new box that the orange ones come in, very nice packaging and very heavy box. $299.99 .
The sound quality was just 'loud' I could feel a speaker kind of 'bumpin' on my ear and the sound cancelation was good. Of course I only had one side to gauge by.
- you may just have killed your bro,
jk jkgeorgesIII - yeah at the Beats display at Best Buy everyone was broken but I guess they see a lot of usefooler
