Ok, I'm sick of using my magic mouse and I need something that's non counter productive, professional and comfortable...any suggestions?

i have the Logitech Performance mouse. Had it for a couple years at least. Think its great albeit semi-expensive for a mouse. The way it recharges is genius (it's wireless, and you plug it into your USB to recharge...but you can still use it while it's recharging (the problem with mouse wireless mouse systems). USB connects to the front of the mouse and then connects to your computer).
http://www.logitech.com/mice-poi…Wacom tab's are cool but it'll definitely get used to. I don't think they're too comfortable for using all day though.
- +1 this is the best mouse I've come acrossukit2
- Only problem is they break frequently and/or I lose the USB connectorukit2
- Mine's never broke but ten again I don't travel. Just sits on my desk.fyoucher1

i use the logitech above as well.. i cant use a wacom at all.. it is very uncomfortable for me.. i really like to use a track pad with just my fingers the most.. about 85% of all my mecha work is done using a trackpad and just my fingers.. so much more control than anything out there..

I'm the absolute opposite. Been using wacom for 12 years now and can't even remember how to work a mouse anymore.
B.O.T. why don't you just head into a pc/electric store and find one that fits you instead of taking a heap of different suggestions?
- yeah holding a pen is way more natural then a mouse position.fourth
- every time I have to use a mouse I feel like a fucking cave manfourth
- i feel the opposite of that.. holding a pen is un natural for me.e-pill
- Yeh, but talking about comfortable. With a mouse, you basically just lay your hand on top of it and move your wrist a bit.fyoucher1
- bit. With a pen, you're gripping it with your hand and moving your wrist and arm a lot.fyoucher1
- Gets tiring if you're doing all day all week.fyoucher1
- d00d,
it's not a brush or a led pencil and paper. You don't hover your hand in the air with it.Peter - Yeah, I know. But it ain't like moving a mouse around.fyoucher1
- I have a few friends who have had wrist pain and I loan them my wacom and it all goes awayfourth

@ PeterH
Because This is QBN and I'm curious to know about what other creative professionals are using?!?
- Yeah, but as above comment on comment attests to: what's comfortable to one isn't to another.Peter
- I would have agreed with you if everyone on here was 7 feet tall, but that's not the case now is itmadneo
- You mean physical feats?
Nah. I'd say it's more about your personal preferences.Peter - some likes tits, others likes ass.akrok

I use my Wacom when my carpel tunnel kicks in, thats it though. Im on 3 very large displays so since adjusting the movement sensitivity on a wacom is impossible unless I map it for 1 display only (which defeats the purpose of any attempt at productivity)
I think im gonna get that logitech up top, sick of taking apart my apple mouse monthly just to clean that damn tracking ball out.

I use a microsoft mouse (comfort mouse 3000). It was like $20.00 or so. I like it 1000x better than any of the Apple mouses. I especially loathe the mighty mouse.
Not sure about that logitech one. That thumb slot looks like it would feel weird.

The Magic Trackpad is great if you use multi-touch gestures.

Used this exclusively from 1998-2008.
Have used this exclusively from 2008-today
Tried going back to a mouse, tried using the magic trackpad. All are cumbersome in comparison. Something about the direct relationship of pen to screen is what i like. Having to lift a mouse and bring it back to the middle of the mouse pad because it was getting too close to the edge... count up those milliseconds, folks cuz they add up all day, all week... im not joking about that shit. total waste of time.

yeah the magic mouse is rubbish.. its way too heavy, useless for anything but just general browsing.
i dont know what it is with Apple, they spend SOOOOOOOO much time making the entire user experience so refined, yet in the last 15 years they have been unable to make single usable mouse..
honestly.. sometimes i wonder how many more people would have switched already if it wasnt for these poorly designed objects..
1 button.. common.. ok, maybe at first, but in 2004.. seriously.. WHAT THE FUCK..

- hahah, totally agreeukit2
- You could have purchased any multi-button mouse to use with any Mac since the early '90smonospaced

well... i feel like the odd one out here - i used a wacom for years, then one day just unplugged it as it was not so easy on my wrist -which is odd as i'm an illustrator and use pen/ink for hours at a time... but, went thru 5 or so different mouse(s)/mice(?) before settling on the mighty mouse and am happy with it... sorry if that offends anyone :-)
- seems i'm de-evolving.bjladams
- that is it.. I challenge you to a Duel at dawn..
http://i-challenge-y…autoflavour - i'll be there, but it'll probably be the afternoon dawn - not the morning one.bjladams

i really like apple's magic mouse...
used to use wacom for a few years, can't stand it now. now i can't stand any mouse with moving parts apart from the click, ie little scrolly wheels or balls, 2 buttons, &c.
