I did some research into this a little while ago and apparently Adobe only supports Wacom. Genius tablets emulate Wacom functions pretty well in PhotoShop but poorly in Illustrator.
I'll be getting a Wacom when the funds are in the bank.

watchamakalit, try calling Wacom. I'm in Canada and basically have zero suppliers, local or international who could send me any replacement pen nibs or a replacement cover sheet for my intuos3. I called them up, spoke to a super cool dude, and he hooked me up with an order of everything I needed and just took my card info over the phone and did it all up. Shit was in my hands within a couple weeks. Very good customer service.

I've been rockin the same Wacom graphire 1 since '98. Solid. I scored a medium intuos 3 in mint condition off Craiglist for $150. More solid.

I have a Genius backup at work and it works great. We paid half price and got a tablet twice the size of a Wacom. It's been great so far and when my pen died, I called the local supplier and they mailed me a new one :)
