Look to do an animation of small balls falling and filling up a jar/bottle. Only know the basics of cinema 4D, so looking for a tutorial. Anyone seen any good ones?

Man, you've go a big task ahead of you. You'll need to find out about Kinetics and dynamics.
YouTube is good although most of the tutorials are of older versions of C4D. There are also user group message boards that are pretty useful.

Something similar to this:

Dynamics tutorials on here will pretty much cover exactly what you need, make sure they're for your version of C4D because the dynamics system has changed in C4D 11 - 11.5 - 12

Create sphere and put that under a particle generator. Add a rigid body tag to the sphere. Create your container and add a rigid body collider tag to it. Aim your particles in to the container and set the duration of the particle generation. That's it essentially.
- Some versions' dynamics "see" the container as being closed. Greyscale gorilla has the low-down on this. As ever :)mikotondria3
- setting the collider tag shape from automatic to static mesh should resolve that
