Yeah its a real shame his work isn't that good. But that's the funny thing, people who talk themselves up so much are often pretty average.
:)

Lol funny stuff.
Amusing to designers who know the industry.
But most likely won't impress the average client.

The bravado would work if he had the work to back it up, instead it looks like he's wandered in from Deviantart...

David Thorne?

For shops hiring him, I agree. I tend to find the tone a bit over the top for real clients. It's all in choosing the right clients perhaps :) I don't really know much about W+K, but I liked this description of their "process"...

Dan is my new hero.

Well, you never know. Many agencies – and I can think of Sid Lee, Mother London and a few others – also sometimes adopt something close to this guy's tone of voice. He could well score some freelance gigs with the right shops, provided they've got a sense of humour.
- I'd consider him just for his nerve to do this, that's for sure.monospaced
- Haha, so would I, to be honest!Continuity

Sort of funny for us... if I were a client, I doubt I'd hire him :) More of an inside type of client v. design joke.

Important thing to remember is that this is obviously a one-man show. He represents only himself and he's hardly a company. He likely has no employees or anyone to answer to. Cheeky copy works for him.
People who want a relatively small and cheap, nice website can go to this (kid?) guy. Big business would never consider it, cheeky copy or not.

"that man didn't listen to the web designer and his website looks shit."

amazing.
I want to see an example of a "large website where you can list things and sell them" – guess it means a Shopify site....
