How the hell do you make a bullet style in InDesign smaller than the type it's next to? Like if the type is 11pt and I want the bullet to be 5pt. Honestly, Page.app does this so simply.

why don't you just use option 8 and then create a character style with whatever size you want the bullet/spacing?

Pages that is

oh, well then i'm not sure. there has to be a way in character styles though i would think.

convert bullet to text
- Mishga0
"Make a character style with the color you want for the number. then go to paragraph palette, click on the little arrow on the upper right of the palette, go to bullets and numbering and change the character style to the one you just made."
"You can also go to the 'convert bullets to text' option in the paragraph options menu, which will allow you to select the bullet independently of the text."
Found it on a forum, does it work??
cheers!- ^Mishga
- THIS. YES - thank you. Didn't see that little Character Style within the bullets menu.alwaysrare
- you're welcome, glad it helped!Mishga

first, check the glyphs for that font, there may be a smaller square bullet.
alternatively use a character style to change the size of the bullet. then add a paragraph style incorporated a nested style using the character style through 1 character.
Done.

Thanks all. Yes it is the Character Style within the bullets of the Paragraph Style. Confusing because of all the menus. I have so many bullets on this piece though I didn't want to do the convert option. I new there had to be a way. Thank you, again.

Ixnay on the aresquays. Use ulletbays.
- your dogma may not suit the brand and doesn't change the communication. round bullets are not necessary.Amicus
- Dogma? Yeesh. They look better. Squares tend to draw too much attention to themselves.gramme
- Personally I agree, but what if the whole document is in a squarish font with square periods and tittles?Amicus
- Eh, maybe. I see your point.gramme

The nested style thing is a good call. One less thing to click on when typesetting.
